My Daughter's poem

This poem was not written by me and it will be rare that I post things others write on here, but this touched my heart and I wanted to share it....

The day you left,
I wasn’t born.
The day I found out you were my dad,
My jaw dropped like rocks.

When we come to visit,
You held me in your arms.
How I wish you never
Held me all that close.

Now I sit and wonder,
Shall I ever go back?
For you are a gift,
I can never take back

You are my only father,
My second love,
You said you’d always be there,
But once again you lied.

You asked me to move in,
I rejected you again.
I said I’m very happy,
At what I have accomplished.

You asked me for your privilege,
In everything I do.
I don’t mean to offend you
But my answer is a no.

I found my way around you,
And stumbled on depression.
Now I struggle,
Each and every day.

So when you ask me to be,
Your only baby girl
I get very confused,
And my answer is a no.
